By eliminating interior seams and tags, SoftLoom® reduces irritation and creates an ultra-soft interior that’s gentle on baby skin and comfortable for all-day wear.
Most baby booties include interior seams, stitched binding, and fabric tags that can rub against sensitive skin and cause discomfort. SoftLoom® Interior creates a smooth, breathable interior that keeps little feet comfortable, cozy, and irritation-free.
It is recommended that babies learn to walk in bare feet or in socks in order to experience proper ground feedback. Infants learn to walk by gripping the ground with their bare feet. Before they start walking, you can use baby booties to keep their feet protected from the cold or sun.
We recommend our Sherpa Baby Booties for little ones who are still getting steady on their feet indoors, as these have a soft, non-slip sole, and non-slip grips with extra footbed padding on sizes 6M+.
Your baby only needs shoes once they start walking outside, to protect their feet from any uneven or sharp ground, or to protect their feet if the weather is very hot or cold.
Once your child is ready to walk on their own outside, you can switch over to any of our sneaker styles, but we highly recommend our First Walkers. There is some overlap in sizing between our Baby Booties and sneakers, to cover different stages and environments.
In sizes 6-12M and 12-18M, the Sherpa Baby Booties have added non-slip grips and extra footbed cushioning to help support early standing and walking. The smaller sizes have a 100% recycled sherpa bottom.
Our Baby Booties are equipped with an elastic ankle and an adjustable double-snap strap for a secure fit, specially built to stay on your baby’s wriggling feet.
Our sensory-friendly Sherpa Baby Booties are hand-stitched using 100% recycled polyester sherpa upper, 100% recycled fleecing lining, and a soft, 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton footbed. Our Sherpa Baby Booties are machine washable. We recommend machine washing cold, tumble drying low, and do not suggest ironing.
