Even clothes and textiles which are no longer wearable or useable can still be donated! Rather than putting them in the trash, they can be brought to a donation bin. The following items can be donated in any condition (torn, worn, stained, missing buttons, broken zippers, shoes without matches, etc.) as long as they are clean, dry, and odorless:
Clothing and Shoes
Toys and Books
Small Decorations and household items
Hearts for the Homeless was founded in 1990 by Ron Calandra. It currently operates a mobile soup kitchen offering food, winter clothing, and information about area services to the impoverished and homeless.
They accepta donations of money, non-perishable food for the mobile soup kitchen, and items such as clothing, accessories, small household items, and linens in good condition. If you're not sure whether they can accept your donation, please give them a call beforehand
